Valentine Inspiration

Claudine posted some pictures of flower arrangements from Martha Stewart Living over at Good Things. Although I liked the one with the sweethearts, I wasn't so sure about putting all of them in the vase and knew that I would have to have them all facing out like she said that she did when she made the arrangement. Our friend, Mike, took up the challenge though and did a really beautiful arrangement. Isn't it just lovely?

When I saw the second arrangement that Claudine posted I knew that I would defintely do this one because it was simple, right? Well in theory in would be, but it actually took a lot of time running around town to find the little cinnamon red hearts. So, remember this - when you have the option of doing something that looks a little bit time consuming over something that looks relatively fast and simple - things are not always what they seem!

However, I think the end result did make it worthwhile.

  1. I love the look of this arrangement! I love tulips.. I can't wait until they start popping up in the garden, should we ever get over the snow!

  3. Love it - and hate that it was much easier to make than candy hearts! :)
Seriously, it's beautiful - I love how you left some greenery, rather than plucking them all off! It's more natural looking - kudos!
