The Governor's Mansion - Part II

Here are some more photos of my visit to the governor's mansion. If you click on each image you can see a larger version.

There are so many exquisite details throughout. The door hinges are marvelous as well as the woodwork detailing on all the doors.

Each bedroom on the second floor has a different color palette and wallpaper. I love the wallpaper in this room and the decor makes it feel like it belonged to a romantic adventurer/writer.

A close-up of the wallpaper.

The red floor in this bathroom just pops.

The red bedroom is so warm and inviting.

Such beautiful wallpaper.

I just loved the muted color palette and the chaise lounge in this bedroom. Wouldn't you just love to curl up on that chaise with a good book?

This room was so serene with its teal blue carpet and wallpaper.

I. Want. This. Carpet.

  1. What beautiful rooms! All the detailing is exquisite - those governors really have it made. I'll take one of those chaises' please. Can't decide if I like the red or the teal! They're both stunning!

  3. I just want us all to move into the mansion, where we can bake, bird watch, decorate, etc.
