I found this great DIY idea over at Apartment Therapy using Martha Stewart Faux Bois wrapping paper. What a quick and easy transformation for a plain, uninteresting trash can.
It sure beats the price of the Faux Bois waste basket in her bath line at Macy's which is $39.99 (It's still on my Wish List!). You can pick up a roll of wrapping paper at Michaels on sale for $2.00, buy an inexpensive waste basket or use one that you have on hand, a little glue, and VOILA! A faux bois treasure!
Elaine, that is awesome! And I happen to have a dozen or so rolls of that paper. It looks great! I think I may need to make one of those as well. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... adding Michael's to my list of things to do this weekend..
Elaine - I think I have that same basket! Is it from Kmart - Martha Stewart? I use it all the time to set cut flowers in water (before arranging). I bought some tonight and am using that to sit until tomorrow. I love that "waste basket" - since I never use it for trash! Your faux bois is WONDERFUL! I plan to go to Michael's tomorrow - and will pick up some of that if I see it. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
