Five Senses Friday

Seeing:  our neighbor's dog emerging from our pool, shaking droplets of water from his coat

Hearing:  the smack of a ball being hit by a baseball bat

Tasting:  melt-in-your-mouth brownies

Smelling:  food cooking on neighborhood charcoal grills

Touching:  the cool water of the pool on a 100 degree day

What are five senses you remember from your week?

  1. Excellent article. I have been using gas grills primarily the past few years but still think the charcoal grill is the best way barbeque. The convenience of the gas grill comes in handy for the on the go lifestyle, but if you have time to cook right, charcoal is the way to go. I just recently had some smoked ribs that a friend of mine made on his smoker. They were awesome. Guess I'll be looking for a smoker soon. :)

  2. I had not idea that geese were allowed to play in the sprinklers. They probably migrate to the splashdown water parks too. They're so invasive. :) Love those photos - where were they taken - FL???

  3. Hi, Mike! I was going to an off-site meeting last week and saw all these geese at a park. They looked like they were enjoying themselves so much I just had to stop and take some pictures. It was a good start to my work day. :)

  4. It was a crazy week and I have to say, I don't recall any particular standouts for five senses... other than my head TOUCHING the pillow every night!
    Love the Geese!
