We had a low-tech random drawing of names and John had the honor of pulling the folded piece of paper from the mixing bowl with the winner's name.

How fun ! I am running behind "commenting" since I vowed to finish cleaning the basement before any more blogging. Phew - putting the ornaments away morphed into a huge organizational project but at this time of year, why not :) Your braised fennel looked stunning. I would love to try that for sure - we love fennel around here.

ReplyDeleteLove those low-tech drawings. I think that when Vegas had those low-tech slot machines it was a lot more fun to play them. Nowadays the machines are truly one armed bandits.
I am thinking that I need to find a second hand bookstore and see if they have any of these cookbooks. But I do just enjoy seeing what everyone makes and it is totally calorie free. But I think the veggies do look so yummy that maybe I would eat more of them.
Thank you so much for letting me be in the drawing for the cookbook, it was lots of fun to be in one, especially one where I did not have to do ten different things to be able to participate. Sometimes I do not even know how to do half the things required and so I just give up. It really was so nice of you to make it easy and very much appreciated.
