One of my favorite holiday songs from one of my favorite singers.
As much as I think it would be fun to just once ring in the new year dancing cheek-to-cheek at a fancy party, I really can't imagine a New Year's Eve without watching Dick Clark's New Year Rocking Eve and watching the ball drop in Times Square.
Another tradition of ours is to eat 12 grapes at midnight. Each grape represents a month during the new year. You make a wish while eating each grape as the clock strikes midnight to give you good luck throughout the year.
What are you doing New Year's Eve?

I love the 12 grapes! I wonder if it works with cookies? ;) Who doesn't love Karen's voice.... what a talent. Gee - I just hope I can stay awake until midnight - but if I do, I just might try the grape "countdown" - what a wonderful tradition Elaine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tradition! I'm with Mike.. I hope I can stay awake long enough to ring in the new year and the new decade. Wake me when Ryan Seacrest is on.. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful and peaceful 2010!
Such a lovely tradition, we will be listening to the chimes of Big Ben to welcome the New Year and then releasing a Chinese lantern to the New Year night sky.
