Happy Birthday, Kenn!

Since my friend, Kenn, is so very passionate about gardening, I decided to make him a Flowerpot Cake for his birthday. The only edible flowers that were in bloom in my garden were my chives, so I made him an herb pot. I think it turned out pretty cute! The recipe is available at marthastewart.com. Kenn has the most beautiful garden and is probably happiest when he has his hands dirty and he is digging in his compost rich soil, so I think this cake is very fitting for him. He knows a lot about gardening and has shared many tips that he has learned. I can't wait to see what his garden will look like this year once everything is in full bloom.





Kenn is one of the most loving, giving, and caring people that I know and I am so glad that I have gotten to know him and that I can call him my friend. He is a very talented individual and he is a great writer. He is so eloquent and is very thoughtful when he expresses himself. He is so often the voice of reason when things get a little out of control over on the MS board.

He loves all things Martha and is a sucker for the Martha Stewart logo. But, he is probably more of a sucker for photos or store displays with Martha. We tease him about his Martha museum and I do believe that he just might open one up someday!

Kenn, I know you got the birthday gift that I sent to you early, and I had the opportunity to wish you a happy birthday by phone the other day, but I still wanted you to know that I was thinking of you on your birthday and this cake is my way of honoring your special day. I hope you have a very wonderful birthday, Kenn! We love you!
