French Friday with Dorie: Cold Cantaloupe and Strawberry Soup

We eat an abundance of melons and berries, particularly during the summer months, and most often we make agua fresca from the overripe fruit. This chilled 'soup' is a great alternative. It is light and refreshing and perfect to serve during the summer especially when it is too hot to turn the stove on. I liked this as a dessert and served it in fountain soda glasses.

  10. The soda fountain glass is so retro/fun! I'm glad you enjoyed this. I did too, but I wonder if it had to do more with the fact that I blended the melon and the berries together.

  14. It looks delicious in the glass. Perfect for a hot
summer day. Hubby and I did not care for the flavors
but I might try it again skipping the ginger.
