I just watched the MOST beautiful, moving, dance on So You Think You Can Dance tonight. It truly demonstrated how dance can convey meaning and emotion and tell a story about a woman's battle with cancer - the highs and lows - and always, always the Hope. It was truly the most beautiful dance I have ever seen. For anyone who is battling cancer or for anyone who knows someone who is battling cancer - this is a must see performance.
The dancers were Melissa Sandvig and Ade Obayomi and it was choreographed by Tyce Diorio. If you didn't catch it tonight, here's the dance on You Tube.
This piece was so incredibly moving. It's 4:30 in the morning and I'm totally blown away. Watching this dance, with the pure, raw emotion of their performance has touched the very core of my soul. Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the program regularly... thank you, Elaine for sharing this!
How wonderfully moving...its interesting to see you have this programme too over in the states including Mr Nigel Lythgoe!
ReplyDeleteWow.... how inspriring! Thank you for sharing the video. I, too, don't watch this regularly but have seen the first couple of seasons. There was always one or two people that shined, rather brightly and hopefully went on to share their wonderful talent. I hope these do as well!
